#10 Lost Boys
The Lost Boys was a movie about a woman named Lucy and her two sons that move to California. As a result, one of the boys becomes a vampire, and it is up to the other boy, Sam, and his new friends the Frog brothers, to save his brother Micheal from the life of a vampire.
#9 Top Gun
Top Gun is about a navy pilot, Pete Mitchell who is sent to the Miramar Naval Air Station for advanced training. Throughout the movie he competes with Tom Kasansky for the coveted "Top Gun" award. After this, he is inivolved in an international crisis involving a crippled US vessel and a flock of predatory enemy planes.
#8 Dirty Dancing
Dirty Dancing is about a girl named Baby ends up at a summer resort in Catskills for her summer vacation. Fortunately for her, she ends up meeting the dance instructor at the resort and they fall in love when he enlists her as his new dance partner.
#7 Stand By Me
Stand By Me is set in Castle Rock, Oregon over Labor Day weekend in 1959. A quartet of boys all set out in search of dead body one boy overheard his older brother talking about. The group consists of intellectual Gordie, born leader Chris, emotionally disturbed Teddy, and chubby hanger-on Vern. The boys' journey leading to the body are filled with personal pressures brought down on them by the adult world. All this and more occurs while it is narrated by Gordie's future self.
#6 Pretty in Pink
Pretty in Pink is a story about a girl named Andie Walsh who lives in the dingy part of town with her underemployed father. She is considered a misfit at her high school, but catches the attention of a rich kid named Blaine and as their romance grows they are ridiculed for dating each other. The romance verses high school social politics in finally cultivated at the night of the prom.
#5 Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Teenager Ferris Bueller is a legend in his own time thanks to his skill at cutting class. Intending to make one last grand skip before graduation so he calls in sick, "borrows" a Ferrari, and takes a one time joy ride around Chicago while being chased by his high school principal.
#4 Back to the Future
Marty McFly, an average teenage boy with one upside to his life is his friendship with an eccentric scientist, Doc. While Doc is working on a time machine Marty is accidentally sent back to the 1950's, where he interferes with his parents relationship, making consequences for himself.
#3 Sixteen Candles
Sixteen candles is about a young girl, Samantha, in high school whose 16th birthday is overshadowed and completely forgotten because of her sister's wedding. She eventually decides to leave her home filled with relatives, and goes to a school dance, where nothing seems to go her way either. This bittersweet comedy follows not only the disappointments of Samantha but also many other characters.

The Goonies is about a group of misfit kids who go to look for buried treasure in a subterranean cavern. On their journey they come across a criminal and her outlaw gang, but luckily her strange but kindhearted son comes to their rescue.
#1 The Breakfast Club
This film is about a group of high school students who are stuck in a day-long Saturday detention in a prison-like school. In this group there is Claire, the princess; Andrew, the jock; John, the criminal; Brian, the brain; and Allison, the basket case. These five students begin the morning with nothing in common, each of them bound to his or her place in the high school social system. Soon they realize they have more in common than they thought, including a hatred for adult society, as they band together to take down the villainous principal. There are many profound, soul searching moments, including when Allison says "when you grow up, your heart dies", increasing the already obvious level of contempt for adult authority.
